Changan has officially introduced the all-new Nevo Q05 at the 2025 Auto Guangzhou Show, marking its debut as the brand’s first global all-electric compact SUV. Globally, it will be sold under the Deepal badge, positioned to challenge segment leaders like the BYD Atto 3.

Powering the Q05 is a 120 kW electric motor paired with battery packs jointly developed with Changan-CATL. Buyers can choose between a 40.3 kWh pack rated for 405 km of CLTC range or a 51.9 kWh unit that stretches the range up to 506 km.

On the outside, the SUV adopts Changan’s modern “Digital Wing 2.0” design cues, characterised by split LED headlights, an active air intake, flush door handles, a full-width rear lightbar, and a roof-mounted LiDAR system.

Its dimensions—4,435 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, and 1,600 mm tall, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase—makes it slightly smaller than the Atto 3, yet its sharp styling gives it plenty of road presence.

Inside, the Nevo Q05 leans heavily on technology and premium comfort. A wraparound cockpit layout houses a 15.6-inch 2.5K centre display and a 10.17-inch digital instrument panel. The interior comes in Jade White or Ink Black, with support for CarPlay, HiCar, and even remote control of Haier smart home appliances.

Higher variants are equipped with the “Tianshu” intelligent driving suite. The system uses a combination of LiDAR, 11 HD cameras, three millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

Comfort features are equally impressive. The front passenger benefits from a 165-degree “Queen’s Seat” with leg rest, while both front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage. Ambient lighting with 256 colour options enhances the cabin atmosphere.

Nevo, Changan’s dedicated EV sub-brand launched in August 2023, is ramping up its global presence. The Q05 will serve as its first all-electric compact SUV for global markets.
